The Details:

Join our Roads and Drains team as a Labourer and play a vital role in maintaining the community's civil and transport infrastructure. Working closely with a crew leader, you'll be at the forefront of maintaining of Council's valuable assets. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure your designated area remains safe, tidy and defect-free.

About the Role:

• Permanent Full Time| 9 day fortnight
• 76 hour fortnight
• Monday - Friday
• Weekly Pay

Some of the tasks include:

• Installing and replacing road signs
• Pathways, kerb and channel repairs
• Replacing manholes
• Conducting fence repairs
• Replacing lintels and grates
• Repairing headwalls
• Clearing open drains
• Fixing traffic island defects

About You:

Ideally you will have recent experience performing labouring tasks related to maintaining infrastructure similar to what is listed above. We are seeking applicants who demonstrate:

• knowledge and physical capability to perform manual tasks safely
• recent experience in a manual position
• experience maintaining similar infrastructure/performing similar tasks
• excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

In addition to these skills and experience, successful candidates must possess:

• Current truck licence (minimum MR - medium rigid)
• Construction Induction Card
